The best way to set dates in the Activity Map is to use the export button within the Target or ProgramExcel spreadsheet downloads, allowing the user to view and change dates. 

If a user notices an error message while importing, those errors can be changed within the Import wizard window by referencing the Excel cell address.  However, if there are numerous errors, it's best to cancel the import, return to the Excel file and make the necessary edits, followed by importing again.

As an alternative, you can edit within the Devensoft M&A tool. Notice the lower-most activity dates which rolls up to the parent and all the way up the hierarchy.
