[FAQ] How Do Dates Work in Devensoft M&A

One of the key features of Devensoft M&A is the ability to create schedules, assign work, and track progress of each integration.  There are three types of dates tracked in Devensoft M&A.  Each of the dates below are tied to synergies, milestones, and deliverables. 

Plan Dates 
The Planned Start and Planned End dates are used during the initial planning phase of an integration.  This is usually during the negotiation or pre-close phase.  Plan dates are helpful in setting early expectations of integration priorities and timeline.  Plan dates can be changed at any time to accommodate changes in the overall schedule. 

Forecast Dates 
Forecast Start and Forecast End dates are used during the detailed integration planning process to set the schedule for the integration. Forecast dates are intended to be more accurate than plan dates and are usually set during the 100-day planning process. Note-Forecast dates are a required field when creating new rows within Excel then importing. 

Actual Dates 
Actual Start and Actual End dates are set by the team as the integration is executed.
