Basics of Devensoft M&A
Devensoft Mergers and Acquisition tool is designed to support key elements of Deals and Programs. Targets address the needs of the Deal and Programs focus on the needs of the Integration. Users navigate and interact within Devensoft using an integrated and hierarchical structure that starts with a Target or Program. Each Target or Program can have the following items:
- Activity Map – provides an easy-to-use drill-down interface for your integration.
- Financials – can be listed under each workstream to track actual versus Target or Integration synergies (revenue and cost), as well as expenses related to the Target/Integration.
- Projects – can be used to group together workstreams, milestones, and tasks that are part of a deal or Integration.
- Workstreams – represent a set of key activities within a single or across multiple functional teams, e.g. Human Resources.
- SubWorkstream – a collection of entities within a Workstream, e.g. Health Insurance, 401K, and Healthy Lifestyle are examples of SubWorkstreams within the Human Resources Workstream.
- Milestones – represent discrete objectives that must be met in order to successfully complete a SubWorkstream.
- Tasks – Units of time-based work associated with Milestones.
- SubTask – the lowest unit of time-based work associated with Tasks.
- Packages – are groups of Workstreams, SubWorkstreams, Milestones, Tasks, and SubTasks that are used repeatedly for Targets and Integrations.
- Program – comprised of a Project, Workstreams, SubWorkstreams, Milestones, Tasks, and Subtasks.
- Risks – An uncertain future event or condition that, if it occurs, has a positive (opportunity) or negative (threat) effect on one or more project objectives.
- Actions – Team decisions that have been made and require an outcome.
- Issues – Distinguished from a Risk in that it is a current or existing event that, if not addressed, may impact direction, schedule, quality, or cost.
- Decisions – If there is a question or doubt about an event all aspects are tracked here.
- Notes – allow you to comment on the status of various items within a deal and integration.
- Stream – allow you to copy email addresses into the Devensoft platform.
- Documents – can be stored within Devensoft for easy access and support versioning, check-in/check-out, and advanced security.
- Team – consists of one or more internal and external contacts.
- Reports – are available to track the status of the above items.
- Settings – email template and NDA settings are enabled under this tab
